Battery powered solar led beacon with magnetic base. Perfect for mounting on a crane, for temporary landing zones, or anywhere temporary emergency warning is needed. Other slightly larger solar powered beacons can cost over $500 each. This economical light has its place as a compact, entry level beacon that gets the job done.
This beacon flashes 60 single flashes per minute and operates 14 hours on the built in batteries that recharge in the sun in 8 hours. The unit has an on/off switch and built in photo cell to turn on automatically at night .
This light features an intelligent photo cell. The light is activated by turning on the round switch on the side of the unit. When the light turns on it will begin flashing and the photocell will use the brightness of the environment as a baseline. When the environment gets brighter (more sunlight) the photo cell will signal the flashing on the beacon to turn off. When the environment gets darker, the beacon would turn back on. This cycle would continue unless the user terminates the cycle by turning off the round switch on the side of the unit.
The base of the light has four small built in magnets. The base of the light unscrews. We have had users simply twist off the base, attach the base using a bolt or screw thru the bottom and then thread back on the light to the base.
